Make a real difference with the dual CHC43215 Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs and CHC43315 Certificate IV in Mental Health. You will learn the knowledge, skills, and experience to provide recovery-oriented support, and other services, to clients struggling with alcohol, mental health, and other drug issues.
Having a solid understanding of mental health concerns and dependency-based behaviours, and the contradicting impacts, can support the development of more holistic support provisions.
You will gain the skills to support people with mental health concerns and alcohol and drug issues in developing individual treatment plans and interventions to promote social, emotional, and physical well-being.
This program combines online study with the opportunity to develop your practical skills within the community during a 160-hour work placement.
Mental health and alcohol/drug issues often exist in people side by side. This program will train you to deal with both so you can effectively treat clients.
By studying these Certificate IV Mental Health and AOD courses simultaneously, you may be able to complete your qualifications sooner than if you studied each separately.
This online program includes a practical work placement to ensure you are job ready when you graduate.
Having a dual qualification will open up more job opportunities, so you have more options when you graduate, and are fully job-ready.
If you are an existing worker or have experience in the related industry, please inform our enrolment consultants during your enrolment conversation. You may be eligible to enrol as an existing worker and complete your studies faster. Please note - limitations do apply.
