Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Occupational Therapy)

This popular course qualifies you to work as an Occupational Therapist’s assistant. You will learn how to monitor a patient’s progress and build relationships with health care professionals and patients. You will also learn how to use exercise, assistive equipment, and occupational therapies to help rehabilitate patients.

This certificate is online with Work Placement, and the course duration is a maximum of 24 months. The Certificate IV is ideal for busy people, as learning materials are divided into 15-20 minute chunks.

HLT43015 Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Physiotherapy)

This course will give you the skills and knowledge to work as an Allied Health Assistant, providing therapeutic and program-related support to clients who are under the care of an allied health professional. You will assist patients with their rehabilitation exercises and learn how to develop and manage therapeutic programs, which deliver holistic care to clients with rehabilitation needs.

You'll be working alongside health professionals such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists to facilitate rehabilitation and encourage optimal health.

To achieve this qualification, you will complete at least 120 hours of work placement. The workplace will need to be involved in the delivery of professional allied health services, including physiotherapy services to clients.

Speech Pathology is the science of helping people speak more effectively. Speech pathologists often work with children, teaching them to overcome lisps, stutters, or other direct client care to help them communicate through speech.

During your study you will learn how to: Communicate effectively and build relationships with health professionals and clients.
