What you’ll learn in this course

Our blended delivery program provides flexibility for employed health workers and students who have busy lives. Participants work from home for pre-course readings and an online knowledge assessment. Once these are completed, participants come to campus for four (4) hours of practical training and assessment.

  • Be physically capable of performing CPR, including kneeling on the floor and delivering chest compressions for at least two minutes.
  • No prior first aid experience is necessary—this course is designed for beginners and those needing a refresher.

How soon will I receive my certification?

Our team aim to issue certificates on the same day wherever possible. Once you have successfully completed your First Aid training and practical assessment, your certification will be processed promptly, allowing you to apply your skills immediately in the workplace. To maximise your chance of same-day certification, all required learning activities must be completed prior to attending your practical session.

How long is the certificate valid for?

Your HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years. The HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation component must be refreshed every 12 months to maintain currency.

Do I need any prior experience to enrol in a First Aid course?

No prior experience or medical knowledge is required. The HLTAID011 Provide First Aid course is suitable for beginners as well as those completing a refresher. Our experienced trainers will guide you through both the theory and practical skills needed to respond with confidence.
