You can get all your education questions answered by our enrolment consultants, who’ll help you make an informed decision about choosing to study online. After all, this is a decision that will affect your future, and we want to be 100% certain that we’ve helped you get into the course that’s right for you.

Online learning is so much more than just transplanting a campus-based course into a digital format. As Australia's first distance educator, Open Colleges has been staying ahead of the curve for the last 125 years. This means we’ve perfected our delivery methods when it comes to online education. By listening to our students’ feedback and always staying up to date with the latest trends and forecasts, we’re able to deliver a wide range of Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses and unaccredited short courses in an accessible, flexible and student-focused environment.

Online learning is all about flexibility, so we’ve designed our learning platform to be as flexible as possible. It’s available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so you can access it any time you want. It’s designed to work around your lifestyle, not the other way around, so you can easily fit your study in with your other commitments. And, there’s no classroom attendance required, no exams and no individual assessment deadlines.

We’re always looking for new ways to help you in your pursuit of new skills and knowledge, so we have launched (in November 2021) a new version of our online learning platform for students enrolling in some of our Certificate III courses.  This is called OpenSpaceX.  Your course guide will tell you if your course will be delivered through OpenSpaceX.

For students not studying through OpenSpaceX, you can connect with other students via our OpenSpace forums and discussion boards, or through the ‘study buddy’ system. So even though you’re not studying in a classroom, you’ll never feel like you’re studying alone.

Plus, we make it easy for you to get support when you need it with our student support team available Monday to Friday via email, phone and live chat and on the weekends, via Live Chat (when available) .. They’re here, in tandem with our trainers and assessors, to make sure you’re supported the whole way through your course, from the time you enrol right through to your graduation.
