Melbourne Polytechnic has been providing education for over 100 years. It has changed through the years, from Collingwood Tech in the early 1910’s, to Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT). It was only recently renamed as Melbourne Polytechnic and provides Technical and Further Education (TAFE) courses in the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
Melbourne Polytechnic has become the largest provider of technical education in the north of Melbourne and sees over 65,000 students enrol each year. Qualifications can range from Certificate to Diploma level. Study can take place across the Institutes 9 campuses, which are located at Prahran, Northern Lodge Training Centre at Eden Park, Fairfield, Heidelberg, Northern AMEP Centre at Broadmeadows, Preston, Ararat Training Centre, Collingwood and Epping.
