/ East Coast TAFE Courses and Campus Information

East Coast TAFE is part of the TAFE Queensland network and was formed in 2013 from an amalgamation of Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE and the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE. The Institute now sees around 20,000 students enrolling there each year.

The Institute provides Technical and Further Education courses across 6 campuses, which are spread around the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay regions. These include Bundaberg, Fraser Coast, Gympie, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and Nambour. There are also flexible and online options available for students.

Open Colleges is not affiliated with TAFE Queensland East Coast. This page is an information page only.

Open Colleges has a partnership with North Coast TAFE to deliver a series of TAFE courses in an online format.

Studying online vs. studying on campus

If you do not wish to study on campus, or if you are located in an area with limited or no access to TAFE courses, you may wish to consider online study. With Open Colleges’ unique model – you can study a select number of TAFE courses with Open Colleges’ trademark learning benefits:

  • Supportive: Our dedicated team of student support staff are on hand to help you achieve your goals from start to finish.
  • Affordable: Choose a payment method that suits your needs: monthly, fortnightly or weekly payment plans.
  • Flexible: Study when you can, no due dates, no start times. Structure your study around your current commitments.
