The Role

We are now seeking a talented Marketing Analyst to join our Marketing team to help us continually push the boundaries in digital marketing and data activation. The role is responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting on website and marketing data regarding customers, markets, competitors, web behaviour and campaign effectiveness, to measure performance and support marketing decisions. This position requires a strong background in web metrics, tracking and reporting.

The ideal candidate will be able to work closely with team members to interpret and present findings in a clear, concise and actionable way. We are looking for a problem solver that has a natural curiosity about performance data and customer behaviour with the initiative and means to track down the appropriate data and distil it into actionable information.

Key Responsibilities:

 Marketing Plan and Reporting

  • Provide standardized, detailed analytical reporting and dashboards to measure performance of media across all channels, by campaign. Based on results, help plan and execute monthly tactical marketing plan to achieve lead and enrolment targets.
  • Work with Heads of Marketing to determine ongoing business intelligence needs in order to design, develop and produce ongoing reports and dashboards to support the business.
  • Work with the team to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy in tracking performance of media and customer engagement initiatives
  • Conduct market research to analyze the competitive landscape, determine brand perceptions and relative position in market, identify new market opportunities and assist with the overall SWOT analysis for all new and current products.


  • Gather and develop intelligence of the Open Colleges business and draw out insights to share with the team.
  • Web Analytics - In addition to setting up standard web reports, the ideal candidate will continually mine Google Analytics for nuggets of information and insights to improve website performance.
  • Exposure to data science projects including predictive analytics, Multi touch attribution and look-alike modelling

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3-5 years of marketing experience required; Online marketing experience preferred
  • Prior experience measuring and analyzing web business performance using Google Analytics
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics and MS Excel required with willingness to learn additional software systems
  • Experience with Salesforce suite, and extracting and drawing insights from the CRM
  • Experience with AB testing tools such as Optimizely or Optimise 360 a plus
  • Experience with analyzing Facebook, email, Adwords and vendor reports a plus
  • Knowledge of and direct marketing testing principles required
  • Understanding of digital marketing, across search optimization, search marketing, display advertising and email marketing
