About the position

The Data Analyst role is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting on the performance and operations of the Product Development Division.

Responsibilities include developing and maintaining dashboards to measure course performance and health, analyse and report on the effectiveness of digital assets, define and design experiments for A/B testing on courses, and drive awareness and adoption of BI throughout the division and the organization.

Your core functions

    In this role, you will undertake the following core functions across the Division:

  • Provide and maintain standardized, detailed analytical reporting and dashboards to measure performance of courses across all metrics (financial, experience, engagement, marketing)
  • Help define and execute tactical plans to achieve and maintain course KPIs.
  • Work across all Product Teams to ensure continuous improvement and accuracy in the collection and use of data
  • Support all Product Teams with analysis to ensure data and insights is available and use effectively.
  • Act as a BI evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Contribute to the evolution of data warehouse and business intelligence tools incorporating both traditional relational data and big data
  • Contribute to the adoption of machine learning algorithms and development of artificial intelligence
  • Contribute to the identification of data governance, data quality and information architecture

Skills & Experience

  • Technical skills in utilising the capabilities of data warehouses and big data
  • Strong data modeling, mapping and cleansing skills
  • Experience using statistical, reporting and/or business intelligence (Bl) tools
  • Experience developing Bl reports, dashboards, mashups with tools such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Experience and expertise in data mining and statistical analysis of large-scale, complex datasets
  • Ability to clearly present data and isnights in an meansingful format
  • Ability to clearly evaluate & articulate the pros and cons of a solution
  • Maintaining a healthy balance between perfection and pragmatism
  • Commitment to stay relevant and up-to-date
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Building data literacy capability amongst a range of different stakeholders, with differing levels of data literacy and experience
  • Experience with AB testing tools is a bonus

Tertiary qualifications including a minimum of an undergraduate qualification in:

  • Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science
