On 22 September, Cengage Education launched the new Diploma of Accounting from the FNS10 Training Package. As Business, Finance & Accounting Faculty Head Paula Irvine explains, the diploma has been designed to provide a pathway for students in the Certificate IV in Accounting and Certificate IV in Bookkeeping courses.

”We want to ensure that our students gain the maximum available credit transfer because there is no longer a direct entry into the FNS10 Diploma,” she says. “We are making the process as seamless and painless as possible.”

We are also working on the development of a short and separate course for Tax Agent Registration for Diploma students.  The units for BAS Agent Registration are already available within the new Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Certificate IV in Accounting qualifications. In addition, the Certificate III in Accounts Administration has been rolled out for those interested in clerical or administrative roles within a finance business or department.

Our Certificate IV in Training & Assessment, which was introduced less than three months ago, is proving to be highly popular. It has generated a great response.

“This course is quite unique as it is designed for trainers and assessors in distance education and we deliver it online using our OpenSpace online learning platform,” says Paula.
