How do I get started?

For most courses, all you need is a computer, an internet connection and some basic programs that you’re probably already familiar with, such as Microsoft Word, and you can start studying. Some courses may involve other programs or equipment so be sure to check your course guide for any extra requirements.

Studying online with Open Colleges is perfect for those who have a busy lifestyle - there are no campuses to attend, no set timetables to live by and no assessment due dates. You fit your study around your life - not the other way around.

1. Find your course

Head to our courses page and find the course you’d like to study. There are over 100 to choose from, including nationally recognised qualifications.

Remember, you can study from home at your own pace, and enrol 365 days of the year.

2. Get a course guide

Once you have an idea of what course interests you and you're ready to find out more, get your free Course Guide. It outlines the details of the course and includes a free consultation with one of our friendly Enrolment Consultant.

It’s our priority to ensure you enrol in the perfect course so during the call they’ll get to know your situation, your specific goals and what you want to achieve through studying online. They’ll then clearly explain the course options that would suit you best and why they would work for you. Then they'll match you up to the best course for you and talk you through how online learning with Open Colleges works.

3. Enrol

To enrol in a course, you have two options:

Enrol online: If you already know the course you want to study, click on the 'Enrol Now' button on the course page to enrol online. Once you have completed the online enrolment form and paid your course deposit, we'll be in touch with you to finalise your enrolment.

Enrol over the phone with an Enrolment Consultant: Call up your Enrolment Consultant and they’ll be able to talk you through the terms and conditions, and sign you up in a few minutes. 

Some courses require you to provide extra information or documents to meet the entry requirements - we'll be in touch if we need these from you. You’ll receive emails confirming your enrolment and your login details for our online learning platform, OpenSpace - then you're ready to go!
