Course Description

This dual qualification teaches both the fundamental knowledge and specialist skills needed by those who wish to work with young children. Combining the CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care with the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, this course is suitable for new entrants to the field and also those who already have experience but want to formalise their qualifications.

This course begins by building a foundation in childcare practices, before evolving into teaching more formal education practices, legal and ethical frameworks, communication skills and more. The course then progresses into diploma-level study which teaches management practices around leading a childcare team.

As part of your studies in this course, you will learn to build, implement and maintain programs for babies, toddlers and young children, catering to their educational and emotional needs. These invaluable skills will help you enter a career in early childhood education and/or care. Better still, this dual qualification can be studied online, allowing you to learn flexibly around your own schedule.
