To pursue a career in Community Services, you must have good people skills, strong compassion for others, as well as a lot of patience. There are many different roles available, with something sure to suit you, from becoming a case worker or group facilitator to a program coordinator or youth worker. However, despite around 55,900 people currently employed in Community Services within Australia, there is an increasing need for people in childcare, after school care services, as well as aged and residential services, with shortages expected in the future.
Working in Community Services can be a very fulfilling career, allowing you to make a difference to many people’s lives.
