You will also need to be physically fit, as you will probably be on your feet most of the time. You may also need to help people stand up, sit down, or assist them moving from one place to another.

This is an industry that is set to grow exponentially in the coming years, and the sector needs qualified, dedicated people.

There are many different jobs you can pursue working in aged care, and you could find yourself working in an aged care facility, or helping elderly people retain their independence while living in their own homes.

Your day-to-day could see you accompanying your clients during their daily activities, helping them with chores around the house, organising group social activities, assisting with personal hygiene, and generally providing friendly companionship and emotional support.
