/ Great Southern Institute of Technology TAFE Courses and Campus Information

Great Southern Institute of Technology, previously known as Great Southern TAFE, was established in 1974. It is now the largest training provider in the region, with 54,000 students.

Great Southern Institute of Technology operates across 4 main campuses, primarily Albany, with 3 other campuses, including Denmark, Mount Barker and Katanning. Over 100 qualifications are offered from Certificate I level to Advanced Diploma level, where study can take place on campus, or through online learning options.

Open Colleges is not affiliated with Great Southern Institute of Technology. This page is an information page only.

Open Colleges has a partnership with North Coast TAFE to deliver a series of TAFE courses in an online format.

Studying online vs. studying on campus

If you do not wish to study on campus, or if you are located in an area with limited or no access to TAFE courses, you may wish to consider online study. With Open Colleges’ unique model – you can study a select number of TAFE courses with Open Colleges’ trademark learning benefits:

  • Supportive: Our dedicated team of student support staff are on hand to help you achieve your goals from start to finish.
  • Affordable: Choose a payment method that suits your needs: monthly, fortnightly or weekly payment plans.
  • Flexible: Study when you can, no due dates, no start times. Structure your study around your current commitments.
