TAFE Queensland SkillsTech was previously known as SkillsTech Australia and before then, Trade and Technician Skills Institute. It is now the lead Institute in Queensland for the delivery of trade and technician training. It also comes under the TAFE Queensland network, which consists of 6 Institutes throughout the region.
TAFE Queensland SkillsTech was created in July 2006 and delivers hands-on training in areas including automotive, construction, manufacturing and engineering, as well as online courses via TAFE Open Learning. Courses are delivered to more than 20,000 students each year, with learning taking place across 4 main campuses, which include Acacia Ridge, Alexandra Hills, Bracken Ridge and Eagle Farm.
