Study Options

Open Colleges (formerly Cengage Education) provides you with two study options: online and or print (correspondence).

Online: As an online student, you will access your course materials and assessments via the Open Colleges OpenSpace portal and submit your assessments online. You can also engage with your trainers and assessors and other students in online forums. What is it like to be an online student? Click here to find out.

Print (Correspondence): If you prefer the print course option, all course materials, including textbooks, will be delivered to your door. You still have access to all online resources, and your assessments can be either mailed in for marking or submitted online. Trainers and assessors are available by email or online messaging. Regardless of the option you choose you will still:

• Start your course when it suits you;
• Study at home at your own pace;
• Be supported by experienced trainers and assessors;
• Have access to our extensive Student Support services; and
• Have access to our additional online learning resources through OpenSpace portal.
