How much does a course cost?

The price of your course will depend on the level of qualification you plan to enrol in. It will also vary by the number of subjects included in the course, as larger courses will require more resources, time and staff, and therefore cost more. Also, some of our courses provide you with equipment that will help you complete the course. All of this will be factored into the price of the course.

What do my course fees get me?

At Open Colleges, we refuse to compromise on the quality of our courses and always aim to deliver the very best course content and support for our students. We strive to offer high quality education at a competitive price.

While enrolled with us, you’ll get:

  • Extra resources to enhance your learning like online libraries, videos and learning activities.
  • All the support you need to keep going.
  • A chance to find a study buddy as well as career tips and resources that will help you apply your qualification in the real world.
  • A testamur (certificate) when you graduate as proof that you have completed your course.

Where can I find out the price of a course?

Our friendly Enrolment Consultants can tell you more about course fees, payment options and discounts.

Their first priority is making sure that you find the right course for you, regardless of price. Having a chat with them about your level of experience and study goals will allow them to match you to the perfect course. Give an Enrolment Consultant on 1300 853 033 (option 1) to talk through your choices.

You can also check out our FAQ page for more information on payment options, and everything else related to studying online.

What are my payment options?

  1. Pay in full

If you pay your course fees up-front in full, you’ll benefit from a discount. When you pay in full, we don’t have to spend extra money on administration for tasks such as payment plan processing. Instead, we get to pass this saving onto you in the form of a discount.

  2. Payment Plan

Pay for you course in weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments. By paying in instalments, you can schedule your payments around your regular outgoings and get ahead without breaking the bank. Open Colleges payment plans are interest-free.

  3. ZipMoney Payment Plan

If you need a little more flexibility in your finances, and want to pay off your course fees over a longer period of time, you can switch to a zipMoney payment plan. Essentially, zipMoney pays your course fees for you, and you pay this loan back over 24, 36 or 48 months. As long as you are eligible, you can switch to a zipMoney plan at any time.

Can I apply for Austudy or Abstudy assistance if I study with Open Colleges?

Some of our courses are approved for Austudy/Abstudy assistance, providing you are eligible to receive these payments. There is also assistance available for those receiving pension payments and other financial benefits.

What happens if my situation changes and I can no longer afford to pay for my course?

Once you enrol in a course, it is your responsibility to pay the full course fees. However, if you find yourself in a situation where you are unable to make your scheduled payment, give Student Support a call on 1300 853 033 (option 3) to talk through your options.
